Can Ch Spicewind It's All About Me! ("Abby")

Abby (Am Ch Klondyke Spin the Shadow x Am Can Ch Frontrunner's Ruby Malone) is herself the product of a blending of English lines on her sire's side and French and Danish lines on her dam's side--with outstanding results.  She is a beautiful black-masked, mahogany brindle and white particolor bitch of moderate size, with true and correct movement both coming and going and wonderful side gait.  Like her dam before her, she is a benevolent dictator and Abby rules the DuMond whippets with a velvet glove.  Although Abby much prefers the sofa or the bed, she did grace us with her presence in the Canadian show ring, where she easily finished her championship with wins which included a Group III placement.

Abby was a stellar performer in the whelping box as well where she had two litters of eight puppies each, the first sired by our own Can Ch Nevedith Hfa Hanky Panky, SC  ("Hank"); her second litter was sired by Can Ch Avalonia Wotta Jesta ("Nev"), a particolor black bindle and white dog who is half-brother to Hank.  Both Hank and Nev are sons of Eng Ch Nevedith Justa Jesta and they are two of the  few Jesta progeny to reside on this side of the Atlantic. 

Three of the puppies in our Hank x Abby litter have earned conformation or field titles.  Both Can Ch DuMond Ain't Misbehavin' ("BeBe") who resides here at DuMond and Can Ch DuMond Aladdin's Magic have earned their Canadian conformation championship titles;  DuMond All That Jazz, JC ("Kurumi"),  who like her sire is a rocket on the coursing field, easily earned her junior coursing title with the help and encouragement of her owner.

To date, in the Nev x Abby litter, our own Can Ch DuMond Bohemian Rhapsody ("Dy-Dy"), has earned her Canadian championship title and has a Best of Breed and Group IV placement in the U.S. as well.

After having earning her championship title and having two large litters, Abby has retired from both the show ring and the whelping box.  She remains the resident Queen of DuMond and keeps us all in line!
