Hemi and his five littermates were born to our black and white boy Ammardan DuMond Avalonia ("Andy") and are out of our perfectly petite girl, Can Ch Avalonia All Hallow's Eve ("Eve"). Hemi's litter represented our first foray into breeding true-to-type black and white whippets, and we were not disappointed! In this, our "E Poets/Playwrights" litter, there were three black and white whippets (2 males, 1 female) and three equally gorgeous black-masked fawn and white whippets (1 male, 2 females). We had a difficult time in choosing which puppy from this litter to keep here at DuMond so we picked two, Hemi and his litter sister, Elise, aka DuMond Elizabeth Barrett Browning,

Hemi, like his sire, is a sweet, sweet boy and has grown and matured beautifully. He has not disappointed us in his limited time in the show ring, either. His wonderful confirmation and attitude have shown through in the ring and at home. At his first shows in Canada at the ripe old age of 6 months, he went RWD at two of his first shows. Two months later, at his first U.S. show, he took the points going WD from the puppy classes and quite impressed the judge! We expect great things from Hemi, and expect to show Hemi in both the U.S. and Canada in 2009. Check back on this site for updates on his progress.
