For those of you who have been so patiently waiting, I apologize for the delay in getting these photos (from last week) posted to the site. The pups are keeping me busy, but I vow to try to get this week's photos taken and posted more timely!
It's hard to believe that they have been out of the whelping box for ~ 2 weeks already--until, that is, you see them run through the house with abandon (at every opportunity). They grow and mature alot in a week at this age and I do enjoy watching them discover things for the first time--everything from the television, to the sound of a cell phone ringing to a mop and broom (particular puppy favorites). They are growing like the proverbial weeds and are starting to play and walk (instead of scoot) around the whelping box. Their eyes have opened and they are beginning to show their individual personalities. Before too long, they too will have graduated from the whelping box to bigger accomodations and will be clamouring to explore the rest of the house...for now, they are still reliant on mom and we have a few more days to prepare for the onslaught! The Gang is going gangbusters and is keeping their dam hoppin'....Geisha has barely had a minute to herself (although she did sneak outside to run around with Abby and Dy-Dy for a bit today). We are very pleased with the progress this litter is making and with how well Geisha, a first-time mother, is handling having nine hungry mouths to feed. Check out the pics of the Gang, below, taken earlier today...

Hemi and Geisha outdid themselves and graced us with nine (count 'em, nine) beautiful puppies (5f, 4m). After a long, but productive, labor and delivery, mom and pups are all resting comfortably. Check back for more photos and updates on this litter that is sure to shine!
