- Hemi made his appearance at the Old Dominion Kennel Club Show on Arpil 18th and went 2nd in his class. As usual, his movement was great but he and I need to work on our 'showmanship' so we will be attending some handling classes before his next appearance at a show in the area early next month.
- The April get together for the MD/DC/N.VA whippet playdate club is at Fido's Friend in Thurmont on Saturday, April 25th. Geisha had such a good time at Fido's last month, that she will be going back in April to chase the bunny again! Anyone in the area who would like more information, please contact us for details.
- We are hoping to find out the week of April 20th whether or not BeBe is expecting! Keep your fingers crossed and stay tuned for updates.
- Hemi is scheduled to appear at the Old Dominion Kennel Club Show in Timonium, Maryland on Saturday, April 18th. Look for him there or check back here to find out how he did!

March
- Geisha and Dy-Dy both got got in a good romp and had their first opportunity to "chase the bunny" on March 28th. Even though it was rainy, chilly and muddy, the girls had a grand time meeting and greeting new whippet friends and having the opportunity to run freely for hours. Then, they each tried their paw at lure coursing---Geisha was a natural and had a grand old time; Dy-Dy ran the course for a short bit and then decided it was time to run back to mom! Both Dy-Dy and Geisha were muddy, pooped and happy by the time we returned home...check out some of the new pics in the candid shots section under photos.
- Geisha will get her first shot at "getting the [lure coursing] bunny" on March 28th (weather permitting). We are expecting the experience to be an entertaining one (for her and for us). Hank will probably go along just to show his granddaughter how it's done!
- We have bred Hemi to BeBe and are keeping our fingers crossed that all went according to plan. Stay tuned next month for updates on this site (after the sonogram).
- We are planning to enter Hemi in upcoming shows in the Maryland/Delaware/NJ area in April and May. Stay tuned for details and updates.
February
Unfortunately, the results are in --and the sonogram showed-- that the planned and hoped for litter by Hank out of Clare which which we were expecting in late March, 2009 is not to be. We will likely give these two another try sometime in 2010. In the meantime, we are expecting BeBe to come into season at any time and if she does, we hope to breed her to Hemi. Stay tuned for details and updates!
January
Hemi entered his first ever show in the U.S. and went WD (Winner's Dog) earning his first point toward his U.S. Championship. Check out Hemi's show picture on his page. Also, look for Hemi in other shows in the U.S. and Canada this year.
